Sustainability is not usually the first thing that comes to mind when one hears “plastic manufacturing”. Yet, bringing a sustainability mindset into a company's operation is one of the most effective ways to build value. It’s key to becoming a positive contributor to the community surrounding a business—and key to boosting a business’ bottom line. 

Going green is good business. Plastic Molding Technology's team is on a journey to develop new technology and create continual improvements to become a more sustainable manufacturer. Employees of PMT use a three-pronged approach to build value and improve operational efficiencies and reduce cost:

1. develop proprietary technology,
2. create energy savings
3. and make operational improvements.

These efforts come in many forms, whether through improvements that generate less scrap, or equipment updates to use less energy.
