“We have worked with Amco for many years and they have been a great supplier for us. They not only have a wide variety of materials to offer, they also have a great technical support team. We have worked with them on creating some unique specialty materials that meet some of our customers’ most challenging part performance needs. With all the materials that are available today it is difficult to stay on top of them all. We count on Amco to be our “go to” supplier in helping us to identify various resin solutions for demanding applications.”

“We selected SIGMASOFT® in 2010 after completing a three-way comparison between the major players in polymer simulation software. SIGMA was the only one to consider temperate soak of the injection mold over time, as opposed to competitor packages which assume a static temperature. SIGMA also considered the unique thermal characteristics of both mold components and over-molded components. The results were clear; only SIGMA’s model correlated astonishingly close to the actual molded part and proved to be the superior technology for truly accurate, mold, pack, fill, and warp simulation.”

Dear INCOE, Recently we were faced with a situation involving a competitor’s hot runner system failing beyond repair, requiring immediate action. The tool was a “take-over” tool that our company acquired about 10 months prior. Our company is a tier 2 supplier to Ford Motor Company. The situation was very frustrating on many levels, and shutting down a Ford assembly line seemed likely. Once we determined the competitor’s hot runner system was un-repairable, Incoe was contacted. We needed Incoe to work the majority of Labor Day Weekend to have this mold back in production ASAP! I’ve NEVER seen such focused performance under such conditions. To punctuate INCOE’s commitment on this project and future relationship, the invoice for costs listed normal un-expedited expense.
For this…You have NO competition.

"RJG products and training provides our customers with better on-time delivery, better part quality and consistency, and allows us to better meet product growth needs. Our first indication of increased quality and cost savings was the significant increase in throughput. We are now able to make more than twice as many parts in the same amount of time—one process part output increased from 16,000 to 40,000 parts per day. Our scrap rates have also decreased significantly since implementation. We now have a more robust injection molding process that is less sensitive to resin lot to lot variability thanks to DECOUPLED MOLDING® II.”

Benesch acts as general counsel to our entire company. Their plastics industry team provides us advice on a broad range of issues, ranging from commercial contracts to corporate acquisitions to employee benefits to protecting our intellectual property. The responsiveness, thoroughness, and efficiency of Alan Rothenbuecher and his plastics team is unparalleled. They know the issues and challenges of working in the plastics industry. We are grateful we came to know Benesch through MAPP and can't recommend them enough to fellow MAPP members.

The MAPP organization has been extremely helpful for my organization to continuously improve with networking, achieving our cost reduction targets, and benchmarking of fellow MAPP members. I have been part of several other trade organizations, both currently and throughout my career, and I have not found one as comprehensive and committed to providing value to its members as MAPP. The annual Benchmarking Conference in October is one of the best leadership and benchmarking events I have ever attended, including top-of-the-line speakers from outside of the industry and internally innovative and creative ways of attacking problems we are all fighting together. The people engage in MAPP because they want to learn, get better, and be more profitable and although we could be perceived as competitors, we unite excitedly and willingly to attack and solve problems together. In addition, there are multiple benchmarking exercises throughout the year like plant tours of fellow MAPP members, operational best practices like lean layout, PM, error-proofing, EHS, peer networking events, etc. and the list goes on and on. There are no shortages of methods to learn and improve our company. I could not be more excited and proud to be an engaged MAPP member.

We recently had an issue securing a European grade resin due to a sudden and dramatic increase in demand from our biggest customer. Unfortunately, this specific resin is “made to order” with a long lead time and we were at serious risk of not only severely impacting our production lines, but also our customers production lines and their delivery times to their customers. That was when we reached out to the MAPP community for help. We asked if anyone in the MAPP community had this resin on hand for purchase. The alert was sent out late on a Thursday and by Friday morning, we could not believe the overwhelming response we received from the MAPP community. By late Friday morning, we not only had secured the needed amount of resin but we were able to have it shipped directly to us in time without any disruption in production. This is what being part of the MAPP community is truly all about and why CSI will always be a committed member.

We became MAPP members to gain information from benchmarking reports and studies, but the real value to us after years of membership are the contacts and support system that other members provide. We have come to learn that the more you put into your membership – participation, attendance, peer phone calls, YP involvement and plant tours – the more you get out of it, and it’s always far in excess of the costs!

“We knew the guys at MBS Advisors from our association with the MAPP organization. We knew their reputation, their knowledge, and we knew that MBS was a company with very high integrity. What was found was that MBS’s performance exceeded our expectations on all fronts: from establishing a selling price, finding and vetting a potential buyer, to help selecting the ultimate buyer for our 41-year-old molding company. When we were through with the process, we could take a deep breath and relax because with MBS’s help, the fear was gone.”

We looked at automating machine operator tasks before, but as a custom injection molder, the costs were prohibitive. Rapid's solution was the first we'd seen that just worked, at a price that made sense for our business. We were pleased with how responsive the Rapid team is and were quickly able to start seeing value.

“The new hybrid LS Mtron machines have helped us reduce cycle times while enabling better process parameter control. They have also helped us achieve more uptime and save on maintenance, while providing great support for automation. We are happy to partner with LS Mtron to continue our growth."

“Blackhawk Molding has a large number of injection molding machines and molds for producing caps and closures, and we perform frequent color changes. Purging and cleaning the screws on our machines is critical to our quality control. When we first tried QuickShots single-dose purge packets from iD Additives, it didn’t take long to see the benefits of using this product. It helped make color changes much easier and dramatically reduced our downtime when cleaning the screws. We loved the results, which included reducing our scrap and downtime by 55-60%."
