JOB SUMMARY
To maintain, set-up, and operate automatic plastic molding machines insuring proper operation and production of defect-free parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets up, operates, and monitors automatic plastic molding machines.
Trouble shoots machine, turntable, conveyor, and other related equipment problems.
Assists co-workers with other set-ups.
Inspects parts produced for proper quality. All nonconforming products are to be handled in accordance with QP 8.3 Control of Nonconforming Product.
Submits molds for repair.
Maintains production area in a neat and orderly manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school education or equivalent experience. Good mechanical abilities. Ability to operate a fork lift, grinder, drill, and various plastic machines. Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment. Must have knowledge and/or training required to operate Bruin specific software, processes or equipment for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in production environment with occasional exposure to noise, fumes and temperature fluctuations. Continually works with powerful moving parts. Occasional work with cleaning solutions.
