A New Era of EPA Enforcement - What Regulated Industries Should Know

Under the Biden Administration, Environmental Justice issues are now the primary driver behind EPA enforcement efforts. Regulated industries should prepare for increased inspections and enforcement activities in areas disproportionately impacted by pollution, such as some minority and low-income communities. This presentation examines historical EPA enforcement trends, explains what Environmental Justice is and how the Biden Administration and EPA use Environmental Justice issues to target enforcement activities, and provides strategies for regulated industries to reduce potential exposure to EPA enforcement efforts in this new era of EPA enforcement.

Power Your KPIs with BI

Lori Carson, Zeon

This May, I marked more than 30 years as an Environmental Safety & Health professional. Much like my peers, I have always used spreadsheets to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Now, I use Microsoft Power BI and will share how quickly I learned how to visualize large data sets. More importantly, I will explain how it has positively impacted our safety programs and made my job as Director of Safety Health & Environment a little easier. My team now spends more time analyzing trends than entering & manipulating data. Our KPIs have transformed from being one boring Report Card into dozens of interactive charts that enable us to make data-driven decisions.

10:30 AM - Peer to Peer Networking

This session is back by popular demand! Growing peer-to-peer networks is a primary component EHS Summit. Attendees will have the chance to interact with peer groups during this session on topics that are unique to their job functions in their specific groups. Driven by past attendee feedback, these focused sessions have been highly requested and are expected to be one of the biggest hits of this year's event. They are a perfect way for professionals to find new ideas, expand their professional networks, and explore new methods of improvement.

The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who's most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death, and this hands-on training course will give you the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively. Join expert trainers George Hupp and Bruce Whitney for this one-of-a-kind training, using materials specially developed to teach three different bleeding control techniques. Attendees will leave this course empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
