Two years ago, MAPP introduced its "Best Practices" Awards Series by introducing a functional area award. This year's award seeks to celebrate, recognize and share best practices from MAPP members in safety. Submissions should share their company's best practice in safety and answer the question, "How are you, your team and/or your organization safer today than you were one year ago because of this best practice?" 

Members may submit their best practices until 8pm EST on Friday, May 31.

Submissions

Submissions for this year's Safety Award should generally align with at least one of the following topics: employee safety training, safety committees, safety audits/walk-throughs, emergency training, behavior-based safety, tracking/displaying safety metrics, equipment and mold change safety, safety communication or other innovative facility safety best practices.

Submissions may include:

• Photographs
• Video(s)
• Copies of policies
• Outline or checklists of activity
• Any other materials needed to showcase your best practices

Winners of this year's award will receive an award and recognition at the 2019 Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Summit on July 17-18, along with recognition in MAPP's national publications. As with MAPP's Innovation Award, all submissions will be compiled and sent out to the MAPP membership for anonymous voting. This will occur during the month of June. 

All final submissions will also be shared in the new 2019 Best Practices Handbook distributed at the Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference and available to members on the MAPP website. 

Submissions will be accepted through Friday, May 31.
